Fishing Meeting
 

A few fishing friends are getting together at Howards Subway (my neighborhood bar) on Thursday at 7pm.
Anyone wanting to drop in and say hi or looking to put a face to an internet moniker is welcome to come.
Howards has food as well as drink.

Howards is located in Linthicum. From 695 (beltway) take exit 8.

From South
Take exit 8 (Nursery Rd/Hammonds Ferry Rd). At the bottom of the exit (Nursery Rd) turn right, go 1/4 mile to redlight. Turn left on Hammonds Ferry Rd. Go 1/4 mile to Howards Subway.

From North
Take exit 8 (Hammonds Ferry Rd). At bottom of exit turn left. Go 1/4 mile to redlight. Proceed straight on Hammonds Ferry Rd another 1/4 mile to Howards Subway on left.

Stop in and say "Hello". I'll be in the 5th Tuition hat.

I was in the middle of cooking dinner when ya called, then it was homework with the kids, then bed, then work, then sleep....You know the drill....

Can't wait to catchup tomorrow...Its going to be fun watching Scott try to fit his 6 foot 2 frame under those 5 foot 10 ceilings !

Crap.. Id make the haul, but cant do on short notice. One fishing meeting a week, ( tonights MSSA) per week is all I'm allowed :eek::eek::eek:

I'll be there but not until about 7:45.

Always fun putting a face to a name.

It should be a good time. I have 9 confirmed and another 6 who think they will make it.

That makes me laugh. A couple of my friends and I stopped in there today for lunch and a couple cold ones. As I was walking across the parking lot a guy aproaches and says, "Are one of you guys named Marty?" He was about 6'2" and for a moment, I paused and almost pointed to one of my other friends because my mind was racing and I was straining to see if I recognized his wife:eek:.
But the Judge hat I was wearing gave me away and I "fessed up" to being myself. Turns out it was Scott (Spot77):D. Whew, that was close:rolleyes:.
He said you and he would be there tomorrow:).

Too funny, what a small world...His wife Tina is great...Now a days she might even drink him under the table...

I am looking forward to the next couple of days...Tomorrow night will be great, hopefully fishing on Friday, and Saturday if I can make it work out...

I tried to put on my "friendly" face but my wife says even that turns rattlesnakes into butter.

She works on Nursery Rd and Howards has been a family favorite for years, so meeting her for lunch there never breaks my heart.

The beef bbq special was pretty good and I ended up getting such a big serving that I had the other half for dinner.

I will have some fishing photo's, an example of the spreader bar and lures we use on "Patent Pending", Capt. John will be there, Rob (fish nut) will have an example of his parachute lures and daisy chains, and the beer will be flowing:D.

A good time was had by all. We had 12 guys show up and we covered the gambit from freshwater to saltwater. Thanks to everyone who attended.

If Howard's was closer to the water it would be the ultimate old salts' kind of joint.:cool:

Enjoyed seeing everyone last night and finally meeting Mike and Scott. Mike was going to tell us about the background on his screen name (garlien) but we never got back to the subject. All these guys wanted to talk about was fishing:rolleyes:. Marty has a pretty cool hangout and hope to do it again soon....Don

Another thread might be in order for everyone to explain their unique user names.:D

I think Mike might remember where mine came from....about 20myears ago.
