Day 2- PERFECT!! A 47' Buddy Davis named "Matador" tamed the bull!! (Well not all MY BS...). Fish the ocean within sight of land in 500' of water off the reef. We were fishing in the Gulf Stream/ 78* water temps.

Dawn and Don joined us and the Judges for a very productive day!! Wahoooooooooo!!

I hear ya! Been on a roof of a twelve story building all day and know how a Popsicle must feel like! Nine days and counting for departure to the keys. Just my luck I will arrive there just in time for their one week of winter, been there before. It can be miserable since my house does not have heat. You would think that since I am a heat and air contractor I would have taken care of that problem but fishing and diving always seems to get in the way when I go down and need to install new electronics on the boat this trip.

Wow...what a super day we had on the Matador. 4 beautiful wahoo and a couple of gaffer Mahi. We could have run up the score but after two fantastic days on the water we called it a day a couple of hours early.

I would like to thank Jefff and his crew for inviting Dawn and I along as their guest for a great day of fishing in my backyard. I am like a sponge right now trying to learn as much as I can about offshore fishing. We have had some very rewarding trips offshore on the Hunter but now I can take it to next level. Again, thanks Jeff.

It would NEVER come back and I just couldn't do that to the '36 Shootout- East vs West'. ;) Besides, I don't thing Margaret's Jetta TDI would tow it very well and my truck only gets 7.5 when I'm NOT towing!

That really is the best way to travel to florida. Don't know what your missing until you have made a trip down the ICW. It is beautiful especially in the fall.
