Fishing Trips for wounded heros

Hey guys,
A buddy of mine has been working with parties affiliated with Walter Reed Hospital and the "hunt for heroes" program for the past year. He, myself and another buddy hosted four American Heros this past weekend for a Carroll County waterfowl (goose/duck) hunt. The waterfowl did not cooperate on Saturday, but a day in a goose pit goes a long way to forging lasting friendships. We were back at it this afternoon and ended up with 5 geese and 5 mallards. Anyway, I couldn't help but do a little fishing talking while chasing birds and these guys are already getting excited about chasing some big stripers this spring. I am hoping that these guys spread the word and that by spring we have several more heros that want to chase big stripers. Depending upon the number, I may be in need of some assistance. If there is enough interest, I may attempt to plan a day (similar to wish-a-fish) for these true American Heros. If this preliminary plan comes to fruition, I will definately need some help. I will keep you posted.....................Mark

Mark; I'm willing to help out as well. I'd be willing to mate on a larger boat; or if it turns out to be a nice day, I can donate my boat. 5th (Marty)

I had the opportunity a couple years ago to take a Wounded Warrior and his family out for a day on the boat.....did some fishing, took the kids swimming, had a good lunch.....all had a good time.
Count me in....
Can carry 4 passengers comfortably....I'll supply a mate to help out.

Mark i know a couple of the oc charter boats did this last year. My good friend capt luke blume on the Press Time took some guys out shark fishing and thet had a blast catching blue sharks and two makos. Luke said they are going to try to do it every year. Maybe we can set something up for the first week of trophy season.

Mark,
My boat is kinda small, and it is tough for me to get out in the Spring. If I can help with hats, shirts, lures or something....let me know. I'd be glad to help out.

Mark,
I'd like to volunteer our boat, but i'd need a date det first as to see if my father would be off in order to take the boat. If that doesn't work, I'm game to help out on someone elses boat in running boards and what not.
