New Show, Wicked Tuna, on Nat Geo, Tonight
New Show, looks interesting and AWESOME... Tonight Monday April 2
http://channel.nationalgeographic.co...l/wicked-tuna/ So after my beloved Caps kick some Tampa Bay ass, I'll be switching over, and you should too....:D |
I got a woody just from the preview - saw that harpoon being tossed - oh yeah.
|
Finally....something to look forward to on the tv other than the History channel.
|
Think the new " Deadliest Catch " starts next week. Saw preview but missed exact date.

DWTS:eek:
If you know what that stands for, I know you feel sorry for me:D. I let her watch DWTS' and I get to watch a couple shows she can't stand. She usually doesn't even watch my shows; too vulgar or violent. I watch Archer (friggen hilarious), and Justified (just a cool show). 5th |

Justified is awesome. It looks like a tv version of the area of Monroe County, WV where we have some land. |
I dont know what the **** happened but it was not on last night in Montgomery COunty. It is on tonight at 10 but posted as a rerun. WTF ?
|
Was on in AA county....
|
same down here in Oak Island NC...sumpin else was on...so I watched the nat champ game.

My Gf and I play a drinking game with swamp people, we drink any time they say shoot em. We tried to drink for subtitles but it got a little out of hand. The tuna show is pretty good. One guy flat out lies on the water but seems to be the best fisherman. I don't blame him. When your talking big money I would too.
|
DWTS ??????
Double wide trailer show :D Demented white trash syndrome  |

One team drinks for every "Roxanne" and the other drinks for every, "Put on the red light".. Have you ever met a fisherman that didn't lie? :D Actually there's a bunch here that might streeeeeeetch the truth a little on occasion, but 99.9% of what they say is true. |
Kate & I saw Wicked Tuna over the weekend, and I only have one criticism: It's not that believable and is kind of unrealistic. I mean, how often do fishermen radio bogus numbers to one another to send others on wild goose chases? Also, I have a hard time believing that despite a lot of water, other boats will get so close to one another as to snag an anchor. I mean this stuff never happens on the bay, right?? :D
But seriously folks, I was in hog heaven watching this over the weekend, and some things in the water I guess are universal. I like deadliest Catch well enough, but I can relate more to Wicked Tuna since these guys are hook and liners. I also liked the way that they address and discuss the conservation aspect of these threatened bluefin tuna. I have my DVR set up to record Wicked Tuna in case I miss an episode. |
