LL'ing or trolling on Sunday?????

What to do.

Haven't been out in a few weeks, just wondering which method would increase my odds.

Sounds like the spot are still around.

Plan A - Try for some spot but only for ?? minutes. Gonna have to pop for some BW; fishbites won't cut it now. If successful then LL.

Plan B - Troll until you see some birds, then grab the lighter sticks.

I concur with Dr. Itch Itt

I went Tuesday - surprised to catch roughly 30 Spot - 100 feet SW of Hacketts green can. Heard others catching near the bridge.

We did troll for a short time but found many crab pots in 20 to 30 feet off the Severn.

Right now - it pays to have trolling , livelining as well as LTJ rods rigged and play the hand you are dealt.

If you troll - Tony #15 are good - Blues are still around to bite off shads.

Plan C - Troll until you see a bunch of boats jigging under working birds, and troll through the middle of them:D.

Marty - When did you start running a charter:D

Thanks for the reply's, I figured I would have to keep my options open.

Anyone have luck trolling smaller crippled Alewife's, gold or silver. The 5" or 6" size.

I love Marty's response...Sounds like it makes the most sense to me....I would stick with light tackle...Get the ability to jig and to LT troll....Just me the troll/jog has been great for the last couple of weeks....

I know Tony's are the favorite of many here but chartruese swim shads..3" and 5" as well as buck tails dressed with BKD's have been good for me...Heck just the other night Spot landed that one about 20" with a rattle trap in about 4' of water....More than anything I think its the spot right now, not the tackle....

Good luck...

I fished the reef at Breezy this morning, put out a trolling spread and got skunked.:(

Same here...Spent two hours on the western side, above the Magothy and got nothing....

Well I did get three decent perch....Thought they were gone....Glad they were not...Nothing like a 4 and 1/2 foot ultra light and some perch....

Me and my GF got out sunday and managed to jig up about 30 rock along the channel edges at the mouth of the patapsco.

2 were right at 18 inches but the rest were all between 10 - 15 inches.

Still some good pullage on light tackle while listening to the Ravens game.

Never did get out on Sunday, my crew bailed on me after I turned down a couple of requests to go on other boats. bummer. I had plenty of crabs to pick while watchin football.
I think I will fish then crab this weekend.
