Pre Trick or Treat, 10/30

First of all, what a beautiful day, fishing in a t-shirt and shorts on 10/30, awesome!

Went to a Halloween party last night, stayed out late, woke up around 9. Talked the kids into a fishing trip, left the dock around 10:30. Had to be back by 3, so we trolled out in front of the Magothy, grabbed a couple of almost or just barely keepers (threw them back as I never want to have that conversation with the DNR guy) and a bunch of shorts. Lots of fun, we were doubled or tripled a bunch of times.

Anyway, getting to be 2pm and I'm getting ready to pull lines. Saw a bunch of birds working bait and thought of Marty's run and gun trolling report. Held off pulling lines.

Trolled through the birds and instantly 6 of 8 rods had fish on them, yeah only three people on the boat. We got most of the fish to the boat and they were all 22-25 inches. Had a tandem with two fish on it, awesome. In the confusion, another tandem wound up dangling 20' behind the boat, a fish grabbed that one and pulled a bunch of drag, aggressive!

We put three in the box, threw a few nice fish back over the side for another day, pulled the other two lines and headed in!

It was a good day and dinner was delicious!

Good job putting the kids on fish:D

It's pretty memorable when "confusion" has rods and fish all over the deck.

Nice report.

Thanks for the report, keep them coming! If you read the guys reports on here you can really learn a lot of neat tricks to try on your own boat. If you take your time and read mine thoroughly you will learn how not to catch fish!
