Report: 11/7 - Long Boat Ride
 

The crew today was John O'Reilly (JohnnyO) and his customer Caitlin. I thought it was going to be somewhat flat today. So much for that thought.

As we left the West River saw some birds working over toward the South. Threw some BKDs and Caitlin managed one keeper. However, the plan was to go south to around Breezy so we stuck to the plan. All day I kept telling myself you know better - don't leave fish to find fish.

Made the trip but didn't find the birds that John had worked on Thursday. Did jig on some fish and Caitlin got another but it was short. After that it got slow on finding fish so I broke out the trolling tackle.

The short of it was we got 3 more keepers trolling. All were on a 20" chartruese umbrella with double yellow Calcuttas. The line had 20 oz on it about 75' out.

Back at it tomorrow. Will stay north but will troll.
