Saturday Jul 26 report

I decided to go crabbing in the Severn River and ended up with half a bushel and releasing hundreds of small crabs. It is amazing how many of them that are around!

At 11:00 we ran out to Hackett's to do some bottom fishing and lost count at 50 (in the first 30 minutes) of white perch drifting. These were the best of the year with 80% over 10". The boat traffic was getting too heavy so we called it a day at 1:00.

Well which is it. A Saturday report or a July 26th report?

We got tons of mini crabs 3 weeks ago too. Didn't get the half-bushel of keepers..........but at least October should be gangbusters for crabs.

Nice... did you pick up some spot with the perch. We have been finding the spot to be either very small or jumbos. No medium sized spot on hacketts. It has been ok since the rockfish have taken the small ones too.

Sorry it is a 24th report.

As far as the spot went 2 Jumbos and a dozen of small ones around 3".
