Take a kid fishing advice?

Hi guys, I just got home from a long trip and winterized the boat due to recent chilly weather. My little girl is begging to go fishing and I'm not sure of any good spots to hit that would produce fish this time of year. Do y'all have any suggestions on local spots where we can drop our lines in and hopefully get a bite before she gets too cold? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hi Skip, we live on Annapolis-can drive probably 1/2 hr or so away. Have anything in mind? Thanks!

One area that is easy to fish is the Patapsco - Avalon area off Rt. 1. It is state park.

Drive back and there is a pond for kids only. Lot of Bluegills.

The river itself can be OK - try night crawlers on # 6 hooks near bottom under small bobber. Park at the main lot ( roads ends ) - then walk the dirt road about 1/4 mile. It parallels the river up to the dam. Up near dam the pools are deeper. Lot of small Bluegill , SM Bass , suckers and maybe Trout.

You can also go across the swinging bridge and access the river. Real nice area - we take grand kids there often.
