Opening day sucked!!
 

Got lines in about 1:30 when I hit the brewerton channel. Ran 18 lines until 7pm and quit at #88 :eek: Caught 1 short fish and a buggie. Beautiful weather and didn't have any major issues (but did have a rod break :rolleyes:)


Back at it in the morning!!

Nope, I thought it was great, with one exception! Woke up around 9, readied the boat and left with my two kids around 10:30. Ran south from the Magothy, set up, watched my son catch a legit 45 inch, 32 lb fish. Daughter decides she has to hit the head, wasp stings her while in there, pull the lines and am home by 1:30.

Results: Fish for dinner, got to run the boat and my daughter wound up being fine.

Conclusion: There is no such thing as a sucky day on the bay.

At least you got to see one on Saturday. We hooked two and both times the rod was handed to my brother. Both times we never got to see the fish. He has been banned...
