I had a lot done to my motor this year, including changing spark plugs. I was told that occasionally, there is a bad one in the batch. So I wanted to just dunk the trailer and run the motor for a while to check:D

Motor run fine and Lowrance unit powered up as normal. Looks like I'm ready to go. The motor wasn't peeing quite as strong as I would have liked, so a short piece of 80# test leader was run up the hole. Water pressure was back to normal.:D

Batteries are charged and ready. I'll work on a few "tiny" things; like replacing my planer board pullback lines and such. But she's ready to be splashed.

She is paid up until April 1st for indoor storage. Guess I'll wait until after the snow this weekend:eek: to put her in the slip.

Bottom paint done. Went from black to green.

All new zincs

Changed the boot stripe from red to green.

Jim Catterton took care of the compounding and waxing.

This Monday is the USCG dry dock inspection - plan to go in the water as soon as that is done and then Thursday, 31 March is the in-water USCG inspection.

I splashed last weekend. New electronics work great, however after new battery switches and batteries still had a over voltage problem on port motor. So last Sunday in the rain dale and I started tearing into it and with Ed millers help, yes he even answered on a Sunday , diagnosed a bad rectifier/ regulator. So long story short Dale and I replaced tonite, what a ***** and everything good. Just what I needed after spending a fortune all winter trying to restore the old girl. Hope everyone has a positive shakedown with no problems. Let the games begin!

Ain't that the truth:D
If I was smart, I would have downsized the leader size to 40#.
80# hurts like a MF:eek:

Back in. Had the USCG drydock inspection yesterday and then I put her back in the slip. USCG annual topside inspection in next Thursday.

With Jim Catterman's help, we will have the cabin and topside all shined up and ready for the 16th.

I am just glad not to be climbing a step ladder to get on and off the boat anymore.

Looking good Tawn. Good luck with topside inspection. Don't know what is involved in either, but if it's anything like the offshore USCG inspections (outside 100 miles) it was a *****!
