Quick trip 5/4 eve
 

Waited 'til after the tournament madness ended to hit the water today. First stop, Kentmorr Crabhouse for a quick crab cake sandwich for luck. It was delicious!! Came right out front and put 1 board and 7 rods over. Crossed to Western shore and picked up a 33ish" fish by the 3rd ship. Hit a single 9oz white Spankin Striper with a blue glitter head on a short boat rod. It seemed to swim to the boat. 15 seconds later he was in the boat and 45 seconds later he was back in the Bay!! Came back to E S then crossed back over to the red ship and back to E S. Only caught the one fish but was happy to get (and release) one with such a limited trip. Where the hell did the wind come from? Checked history at TPL and it was blowin' 20knots late this afternoon!! Never heard that in the forecast.....

At least you didn't "hook a thumb" this time:D.

Yesterday was windy, calm,windy:eek:

It took us the full trip to get our fish:rolleyes:

Gnarly winds out of the E/NE this morning.

True, that 230lber last week was tough to throwback but it HAD to be better than eating him!!:D

At least you did eventually get them. Your Captain doesn't want to finish too quickly, then you miss out on serving up the South County Cafe spread for lunch!! That's a teaser to get them in the restaurant on the way out of town isn't it? ;)

Spot- we went down and cleaned the boat and it didn't look too bad on Brickhouse Bar about 1:00. That was the leeward side I understand, but it sure looked nice out there, and the boat does too now. :)

Back out tomorrow morning.

We took a 34" between the bridge and the LP Buoy Saturday afternoon. Wind forecast called for the winds to dimish but they got stronger as the evening went on. Pulled the lines around 7 and bounced back to Back River.

Ours took a 5oz alien head with mylar behind an 8-pack of 8" green twister tails down 30' in 50' of water...only got to fish for about 3 hours.
