They're still there

Responded to thread the other day " patapsco 11/23. Went out this evening, trolled exact same waypoints as Sunday and in one hours time got six man limit. I swear the minnow buck tail combo is the trick. Everything came on bucktail tipped with minnow. All lures without minnows caught nothing. Again bottom bouncing in60-65' water at 1.5-1.8 knts. All fish 21-25". Plan on going again for annual turkey day trip.

good job Mike

Never tried tipping my buck tails with minnows for rock. We tip smaller jigs with them for yellow perch:D

You must have those fish trained.

I zigged and zagged all along Tuesday in that area you described - never saw much on meter.

Just for sh*t / giggles - next time try a 5 inch piece of white or yellow porkrind ( bass strip ) split 3/4 way in half so two legs flutter. Be a cool experiment - that used to be great combo , no reason still will not work.

I can remember tipping with both bull minnow and porkrind - theory was if they stole minnow , they would still hit.

Great to hear some fish are still around. Thinking I might go tomorrow. Based on your advice, I'm pretty sure I have just enough minis to make the trip worth wild. :D
