Anyone seen any blues at all ?

The water north of the bridge still looks pretty fresh, so i am not holding out hope...just looking for a change in species for a while.

Mike,
A few weeks ago a charter buddy told me he had caught 5 so far this year. And they were all while chumming north of the bridge. Haven't heard of any other bluefish sightings.

Caught a few around Poplar Island - Bloody Point within the last week. They were mixed in with rockfish that were 14-22". We caught on top water and lil bunker jigs under birds.

Try the 40' trough between Buoy 86 and Kent Island. Should be some in there, this time of year. If they haven't been caught up.

Thanks all...Was in Montauk for a few days this week...Will post pictures later but we made a couple passes on a really good blue fish spot and pulled 12 in all over 28" within 10 minutes....At least I will have some to smoke...

Looking for them down here just to target something other than striped bass...It gets boring after a while and with everyone hammering them I would rather leave them alone for a while...

I caught a big old catfish at podickery yesterday! I am almost starting to wonder if we have a fishery with them.
