The DC Metro MSSA chapter will meet Wednesday March 2 @ 7:30pm. Walleye Pete Dahlberg will be our guest speaker on the topic of Finding and Catching big early season Rockfish. Walleye Pete is a renowned Chesapeake bay guide, specializing in light tackle and nice fish!! We all have a lot to learn from Pete. This presentation will be of great value to all anglers. BRING A FRIEND! Also – Join us for dinner with the guest speaker at Chipotle on the corner of Old Georgetown and Edgemoor from 6-7pm. See you there.

Raffle tickets are on sale now!! Prize: three brand new Penn 330GT2 trolling reels on Penn Mariner rods. Reels are spooled with 40# Ande, and each comes with a bloody point tandem parachute rig. This prize is a great addition to anyone’s trolling spread. Tix are $10 and Proceeds of the raffle will fund the first annual DC Metro MSSA Kids day later this summer. A Great Cause!

Also, there is one spot available for the April 21 charter out of Solomon’s on Miss Susie. $110. Call me if interested.

As usual at the meeting, we will be sharing fishing reports and tips. We will also be discussing the current bite in the bay, the NC striped bass fishery, the gill net controversy, and what we are all preparing for over the winter. Some beverages and chips will be provided. Door prizes will be fantastic including a great new Live Liner spinning reel, and other gear!

Don’t miss the meeting, Wednesday March 2, 7:30pm at 4805 Edgemoor lane, Room A, Bethesda, MD 20814. There is plenty of parking, and the meeting room is only a block from the metro.
