Bottom paint removal and reapplication recommendation needed

I am looking for a recommendation for a yard, marina or marine service company to remove all of my ablative bottom paint, apply a barrier coat and re-apply quality ablative bottom paint.

I have suffer through patching up failed bottom paint for 3 seasons and I'm tired of it - I want it fixed correctly.

The boat is in Deale and I can trailer it a reasonable distance if needed. I would like to hear from someone who has used a local service provider and is happy with the quality of the work, preferably someone who is still happy with the work after a couple of seasons.

Thanks,
Tawn

Tawn-

I'm pretty sure I used "Gale Force Soda Blasting" who is mobile. This was 5 years ago. I had my boat at Jabin's in Annapolis. Cost me approx $500 for a 22' Grady for the blast. I think there's a place on Kent Island you can take your boat to.

I did the barrier coat and bottom paint myself. I've been very happy with how everything turned out. I used InterProtect for barrier coat and Petit Ultima SR for paint. Remember to look at the "Max Dry Time Before Launch" on the paint if you trailer your boat or haul it for the winter. You want something that is "Indefinite" dry time.

You may end up looking for 2 different people - one to blast and another to do barrier coat/paint.
