Mid Bay is still red-hot !!
Hey Guys, don't go north too quickly. The area between the CR buoy and the Radar Towers is on fire. Western edge of channel, 60-45', all Tsunamis down deep 16-20oz out 8bars, WWB spreader bars out 250' no added wt.
This AM, 5 of us were done at 8:30 with QUALITY fish to 29". Only 5 throwbacks to day:confused: Every rod caught with the edge going to the WWB's. Saw Patent Pending but didn't get a chance to talk with John. Still a lot of boats pulling boards, big mistake:( the fish are deep and in small schools. With boards you cannot turn fast enough to get back over them. We had one pass when 5 of the 7 rods went down, 2 of them had doubles! Turned and 3 more were hit. We hooked well over 20 fish including the LT 20" throwbacks and had a cooler full of 10 beautiful fish. We'll be back tomorrow since we have a charter, if you see us, say HI ! |
Charlie;
We saw you out there. First time I got my eyeballs on Big Will II; she looks nice out there!! We did a fun trip today as well. Wound up with 8 nice fish in the box, and Capt. John fixed us a great lunch when we returned to Deale:D We must have thrown back about 25 19 inch fish. We didn't find that school of quality fish. We just kept "picking" at them one at a time. Most fish in the box went 25-27 inches. 5th p.s. What I really want to know is if the blueberry pie Bruce bought, worked:) |
