Recent Freshwater Trips

Anyone had the opportunity to get out and do some Freshwater fishing over the last few weeks ?

I know the snow has been tough and prevented most of us from getting out...

Just hungry to hear some fishing stories if anyone has had the chance to get out...

No GPS Coordinates required.... :)

Nope, but I'm thinking we need to hit that one spot that was frozen over the last time we went out.....maybe another 2 weeks and that spot will heat up nicely.

I'll bring the lures you'll need. :D

Just give me a shout...Would be nice to try it again before I get the boat back in....

I heard 49 degrees for Monday. A couple days in a row with temps like that should make some fish active.
I also heard more bad weather on Wed. Maybe it will be rain and not snow.

Weather has flat out been terrible....I resorted to looking at the almanac a couple of days ago to make sure it actually did start to warm up in March...

:)

The water temperature at the NOAA buoy off of Annapolis is right around 37...If we could get it over 40 I would feel a heck of a lot better...

Monday the 8th or Tuesday the 9th are both looking like good days. I might try to get out on Tuesday.

Thinking about the pond on the shore for some bass action....might still be tough getting a bite though....hard to say.

Here's my notes from 3-9-2009 when we fished there:

Quote:

Caught a few on the junebug/chartreuse Zoom worm, but most on a black worm.

The best fishing was under the bridge. I'd cast into the wind and let the worm
drift under the bridge. We caught about 15 fish by doing that. Nice day about 60 degrees and sunny. My best bass was 4 pounds, 11 ounces.
