DCMSSA: Meeting August 7, Walleye Pete, Kids Day Raffle Drawing
 

Join us August 7 for our annual evening with Walleye Pete
We all know captain Walleye Pete Dahlberg. Pete is a fantastic light tackle guide on the bay. Many of us have fished for rockfish, trout and pups with Pete in his 27' Judge. Pete puts his clients on fish no matter what it takes. Pete will be discussing the fine light tackle summer fishery in the middle and lower MD portion of the Chesapeake Bay. This is an evening to be a part of. 7:30pm Steamers Seafood House in Bethesda, MD.

Kids Day Raffle Prize will be drawn at the meeting Aug 7
The annual Kid's Day Raffle winner will be drawn at the August 7 meeting. The tickets are sold out. Thank you to all who purchased tickets and supported our up-coming kid's day. The prize includes two St Croix spinning rods, two shimano stradic spinning reels filled with power pro braid, two light tackle kits full of lures, and a paid trip for four anglers with captain Walleye Pete. It is fitting that we will be drawing the winner at the Walleye Pete meeting. Good luck to all.

First Annual DCMSSA Rockfish Shootout Results:
The first annual DCMSSA chapter tournament was a huge success. Everyone had a great time and we all caught fish. The winners are:

First Place: Martin Needle @ 26.75:
Second Place: Martin Needle @ 25.5"
Third Place: Matt Rowland @ 24.75"

Martin scored a nice payday of $450 for taking first and second place. Well done Martin. Everyone is looking forward to the next DCMSSA tournament.
