How many of you keep records of your fishing trips ???
How comprehensive are they ?? For $20, I'm thinking about buying this guys product, which I think is a good idea and tool. Granted, its probably only a good idea if you actually use it, which is what I'm worried I wont do. After a long day the last thing I want to do is sit down at a computer. Let me know your thoughts: http://fisherslog.com/ |
Looks nice BUT like you said IF you actually use it. Try the 7 day free trial and see what happens in REAL life..

I kept my own paper log for about 2 years. Too many non-catching reports made me grow weary of keeping up with it.....:( .......maybe a computer-based product would help.

B, I kept logs for over 10 years and I did look at them from time to time to see if things where about the same year to year. I don't do it anymore but maybe I should. I just had one of those log books that I kept my notes in.

I try to keep a log, but after a 10 hour day in the truck and on the water I dont want to scribble a page of notes. I usually dictate to my wife while we are driving somewhere and she jots down my notes from the last 5 or 6 trips. She has been faking car sickness while writing in the car lately so I am looking for other options. How about voice recognition for the iphone. You talk, phone translates words into text, all you have to do is save or email the file.

iphone APP - fishing log
I was looking at some iPhone Apps that look pretty neat. One in particular is $10 and it uses the GPS camera in the iPhone to "map" your catch, also grabs tide and weather info and plugs it into the report for you. Pics can be uploaded into your very own fishing database.
A couple of different ones in the App store that looked interesting.... |
