OC for flounder 6/7

Drove down with Phil and my wife, more to get the boat checked out than a serious fishing trip. First time "Net Flounders" been out this season, but she purred like a kitten.:)

Wife beat the crap out of the two 'experts' using small #6 hooks and plain minnows on a very small spreader bar...5 14-15" throwbacks an 1 :eek:nice 19.5" keeper to our combined 1 throwback and a 14-16" blue:confused:.

Water was so dirty that behind Assateague was unfishable all day due to floating grass:mad:. The rest was bad too, until the tide really rolled in. We tried a number of places...east channel on both sides of the bridge, the inlet and finally took the keeper off Thunder Island.

Back bays were full of boats all day which kept the DNR and OC Police boats plenty busy:cool:.

Thanks for the report. I was just thinking about planning a flounder trip down there myself in a few weeks.

Sounds like you may need to re-apply the title "expert" :D
