Report- 12/12 BPL Area

Got the kitchen pass for a morning trip. Didnt set lines until about 7:30 started pulling lines for home at 11:00am. Total was 5 fish with the biggest going 47" and 42lbs on the scale at Anglers. Smallest fish went about 34" with the others 36-40". All fish came off white. All were off the boards but one that was on a deep umbrella.

It was a good time. My crew was my neighbor (big fish Joe) and my son. My boy reeled in two fish (one was close to 40"). He got to hang out in the heated wheelhouse and I let him run the boat some home. He also got to help clean some fish. Action wasnt heavy but enough to keep us involved. We got some good meat for dinner tonight.

Here are a couple of shots:

Nice report. That 47 is a bubble butt.

Great news thought the cold might have ran them out. Thanks for the report

Man, do you boys have ANY idea how spoiled you are with this fishing? You fish a total of 3 1/2 hrs in the middle of December - catch 5 fish from 34" to 47" and have the audacity to say "Action wasn't heavy but enough to keep us involved", and you didn't have to travel any distance to catch them!
You should remember these times, because in a couple of years you're going to be wishing for 1 or 2 nice fish for a whole day of fishing. Everything goes in cycles and this is about as good as its ever been in this area for this time of the year, or any time of the year for that matter.

You sure are making us happy that we decided to run to Solomon's today:D
Boat record in your own backyard, great job!
Brennan, another great day on the bay with your dad...you are a very lucky guy!

Mikie,
With all due respect, this hasn't been one of the better fall/winter seasons. The big storms have thrown the fishing off without question. No doubt that these are good times and we are very fortunate though:)

You have got to be kidding me. We schlepe our arshes all the way down south to be part or a boat parade and you spank 'em here in your own backyard:confused:. Everyone knows there are no more fish up north:rolleyes:. You need to go down to Solomons to find fish like those:D. Nice job Greg and crew. I assume you found your mojo:D....Don

Nice work Greg. Do you now have radar on your rig? I was coming across bridge this afternoon and saw a Judge with a Honda heading into SP. I thought it was probably you......................Mark

Mark, I got radar earlier this fall so it was probably me. Not too many trailers at SPSP.
