Swan point area 12/13

Short answer= it Stunk!! Fish 8:15-2:30 and caught 2 shorts. One was even a long distance release (30' from the stern). Pulled 7 boat rods with umb to 2oz
Bucktails. Beautiful day in a t-shirt in Mid-December with some good buddies so can't really complain. Next weekend MAY be a little different weather tho.

Jeff,

I got a half dozen 20 to 22s yesterday.

Bucktails with 4 inch twisters. All white.

They hit all depths. Ran two dipseys to get down low.

North of Baltimore light.

Got one 23.5 off of Bodkin Point.

That was just messing around during with light tackle and top water.

Talked to one guy I know own who got a 31 just east of Bodkin. Point.

Water was clear, lots of debris though.

What a gorgeous day.

We may not see another December 13th like that again.

Jeff as you know same results for me on Saturday. Tough fishing up here once we were spoiled with the "off the hook" fishery we all experienced down south the past few weeks. Good going on your catching Mike! Yes it was a absolute beautiful day, I took advantage of the weather to become a ho! Emptied out the boat, cleaned all the gear and gave the ol mako a good cleaning. She was kinda abused on the southern trips. Getting home late and sun going down early didn't leave enough time for a proper cleaning once home. I was finding blood in places I didn't even think it could get. Hated to put her up on such a nice day but daughter is having surgery at the end of the week and I imagine I'll be tied up with her this weekend. So ...... If anyone is fishing Virginia or ocean city I am available to fill a spot. Got deep pockets and long arms, willing to help out anyway possible for a ride.
I would also like to thank all the guys on CBA that helped make this past season such a success !

I was tempted to run over there but saw fish there on Sat and even saw one being pulled over the side as I was going by. Should have downsized baits more probably but as I had to continually remind my crew, it's all about spending quality time together, not catching fish :D

Mako- I hope everything goes well for your daughter this week. How deep are your pockets? I'd be willing to take you fishing in OC if you bought me a 50'+ boat to do it. Oh yeah, I may need you to kick in a few bucks for fuel when we go too! :p

Can't say I would by you one but pretty sure I could get access to one, but you already have the best "little " fishing boat on the bay.I was just making the statement because so many people I
Fish with have deep pockets, just very short arms!

So you're NOT buying me a sweet custom sport fish??? Darn it!!!

That little boat has gone thru 1,300 gallons of diesel this year. At least it wasn't $4 a gallon I suppose! Gotta pay to play!!

Their pockets are probably deep because they are smart enough to not own a boat!!

My last couple times out, which was in mid November, I've had success with the small twisties. On these two trips, my fish ran from 12 inch dinks to a 29-incher, with most in the 21 to 23 inch range. I caught the big one at Love Point on 11/4, and got a quick one man limit on 11/16 in front of the South River. Old information, I know, but it's good to hear that the small stuff is still producing.
