Tough grind 05/04
Fished mostly between 85 and 83 and had slow grind. First rod went down putting in lines so I got excited. However we couldnt get a consistent bite. We ended up boating 5 fish but only 3 were over 36". Best marks were in the shallows on the west side. Heard of a lot of skunks and 1 fish catches. Not sure if the bite is dying up by us or we still have a some good days to come since the water is still cold.
I tried to get my party for Saturday to go out of Breezy or Solomons but learned that it is one guy who just wants me to take him around showing him fishing spots in the upper bay since he is keeping a boat in Rockhall this year. I may try a run down south next week for a fun trip. https://scontent.fash1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...b3&oe=57E3B0AC |
Pretty work Greg. The one on the right sure a a fatty. If it wasn't for me going to the keys this weekend I would have liked to hop on Saturdays trip just riding around showing me all your hot spots, hard to get info like that no matter the cost.

It was a slow grind down south yesterday also, Greg! We got our fish but really had to work for them.

Grind is not the word - flat out sucks Mid-Bay.
Between the rain, cold and the pathetic fishing, we cancelled this afternoons request. Actually the party called and asked if they could reschedule - we couldn't say yes fast enough! |
