BPS extreme rod - have your receipt?
Does anyone have experiencing making a warranty return on a BPS extreme rod? I snapped the top 8 inches or so of mine off fighting a bluefish last month, and am hoping BPS will take it back no questions asked. I don't have a receipt, but I'm betting one of you do.
Would someone be willing to drop one in the mail for me. Preferably someone with an aresenal of BPS extreme rods who won't miss it. I sure would appreciate it. I've noticed these are not necessarily the bargain rods of the past. I think I paid $70 for mine and BPS now wants $90 if I recall. |
If you have a bass pro Rewards card, they can track your purchase.............Gary

I broke a light action one on a LM bass 8-9 years ago and they exchanged it no questions asked and no receipt either.

I don't have a receipt to give you, but it's funny that you would need a receipt to exchange a BPS extreme rod. I mean, where else would you buy one?

They have a date code on the Rod.Last time I tried to return a broken one, they told me NO! It was past the 1 year warrenty accorrding to the date code. That was a few years ago. Before that They did it for me a couple times.Don't know what they do now.

If the rod is over 1 year old they will not take it back anymore unless you know the person at the counter. There is a code on the rod that will tell them the year it was sold. It used to be no questions asked but not anymore.

All businesses have to tighten their belts in a bad economy. When things are good they can go out of their way and date to help................Gary
