Christmas Tackle

Sooo,
What did you get for Christmas that's boat related:D

I got the usual $50 gift card for Bass Pro. I ordered and received a pair of rod swivel inserts from THT. And, I just dropped off two trolling rods to a friend so he can replace some "eyes" for me.
Additionally, I've been getting some reels from ebay and I can now replace my Penn 113's with Penn 345 level winds. The 113's have really served me well, but I had to keep telling my guests on the boat to "let them out to the knot". Because they weren't level wind reels, I had to cut and tie the braid at a certain length (60-75 ft). Occasionally, this lead to "problems"

How about you?

Mike and I usually swap some small things at his house on Christmas Eve. We both had the same idea this year - some heavy metal from Angler's and some shirts.

I've never been much of a bank fisherman, but now that I live on the water and have a decent pier Mike got me some tackle to "lazy fish." So far I've had small and barely legal Stripers, citation sized White Perch, small blues, Flounder and Needlefish pay a visit. Thought I'd see some catfish but none yet. Supposedly the crabbing here is really good. We'll see what the warm weather brings.

My parents got me a coffee table book of the world's most amazing fish catches (and in doing so have given me a new goal - get my name in a book like this! haha)
