First trip back to the hospital

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and support since my accident. I also would like to thanks those that have sent me and posted pictures and fishing reports, reading them helps pass the time.
I made my journey back to shock trauma on Monday the 11th and everything seems to be healing as suspected. They removed all the bandages as well as the stitches. Doctors unlocked my brace and want me to start trying to flex my knee and therapist was here today to assist me with doing so. Still cannot put any weight on the leg for another ten weeks and that’s the part that sucks. Therapy is going well and really no pain when bending my knee but I.T is very stiff and hard to bend. Will keep everyone posted as to my progress and again I thank everyone for their well wishes. I have attached some photos that may be very graphic for some. If so do not open them! |
We can all see what you are up against:mad: Looks like a long road back, but I know you can do it:D
If you can't pilot your own boat at the start of next season, you will get lots of offers to hitch a ride. Hang in there buddy, every day is a day closer to full recovery:) 5th |
Think of the bad ass scar you're going to have!
As long as you embrace the therapy and follow orders, you'll be fishing early next season. Maybe not opening day, but certainly by the time it gets decently warm out. |
Wow, that is impressive!! I’m sure the road to recovery seems long and bumpy but you can handle it. And as bad as it is, it could have been a lot worse.
Wishing you good thoughts and a quick recovery. |
Again, an old thread..... from a guy that has had so many broken bones I had a regular orthopedic doctor, Dr. Gertsen from Towson Orthopedics.
All I can say when looking at your x-rays and photos is :eek::eek::eek::eek: Wishing you the best recovery possible. It will be a long road but in a year it will just be a memory with awesome scars to show the ladies. :D ... |
