Stainless Steel Staples
 

I bought some marine vinyl to re-cover a seat coushin. I was told to use stainless steel staples to attach the vinyl.

Is there anywhere to get stainless staples locally? I found them online for $16/box but the shipping is $8. I'd rather spend the $8 on something else.

I bought mine at Chesapeake marine fasteners, but they are not in business any more. Call a local marina or marine upholstery shop and see if they know someone in the area.

I would try Homedepot first Then any marine store will have them. Cobe Marine, West Marine, or Boat US.

The home depot and Lowes I checked did not carry SS Staples.

You might want to check Ace Hardware or any hardware store in the area. They may be able to get them and you won't have to pay shipping.

Don't know where you are, but: the hardware store in Annapolis by the docks has them (Edwards ??) True Value on Kent Island carries them. Ask for monel instead of stainless.

I've actually found monel staples at Sears in Annapolis, but that was about 2 years ago.
