Stormbrella Time??

The question is "To Stormbrella, or not to Stormbrella?"

From what I have been reading, it looks like the majority of the blues are gone.

Was thinking the same the other night....

Using those mini umbrellas might work as well...

Last week we caught two blues; this week, no blues:D.
We will be out again tomorrow from Sandy Point. I'll let you know if we pick up any blues.

I might wait another week or so. We caught about a dozen bluefish jigging the bridge Sunday.

Trolling, 10-23-10

Launched from SPSP at 7:00am, we did a zig zag pattern all the way down to tolly's before we saw any reason to launch a spread. We dragged our spread from Tolly's around Thomas Point down past the South, The further south we went the more bait we marked. We tried any where from 20' out to 50'. We ended up with a 19" butterball and 5 dinks from 10"-15".

My spread: 2oz bucktail, 6 inch shad one in white, one in chartreuse each in tandem with a small spoon, either a 15 tony or a similar size CA.
golden mullet stormbrella with white teazers
chartreuse stormbrella
2 umbrella's with bucktails/6 inch shads with teaser's, one white and one chartreuse.

I caught a fish on each rod, so I must've been pulling the right gear.

Sunday, I got my usual of almost 2 bushel's of crabs.

Will try again next weekend.

Nice going John. Fish are not as plentiful as last fall, along the western side where you were trolling. Good bite down south. Let's hope Nov brings some bigger fish....Don
