SP Light to Annapolis 12/27

Well, it is very rare that weather and schedule come together in the winter, at least for me. Today they did and I could not resist!

I threw what I thought was a good spread at it, some small baits looking for life and some larger ones hoping for bubba. Water temperature was 43 degrees all day, was really hoping the sun would warm the surface, it didn't.

Honestly, no hits, no runs, no errors. Saw a few small suspended pods of bait but that was pretty much it. FYI, the guys jigging the rock piles looked quiet as well.

On to the nice weather part, what a treat for 12/27! I will let the photos speak for me.

Hey; you gave it a try:D

Not much action up this way; heck, not much action down south (PLO) from what I here. Plenty of fish over the last three weeks, but not much the last 7 days off the Potomac:mad:

A+ for effort. Suffering through those conditions and all. You could have gotten one of those rare cases of "December Sunburn"!

Sorry you didn't come tight but I'm thinking it was worth the trip anyway. :)

Any time you can get out this time of year, your making winter one day shorter. Pic's look nice. It's not always about the fish;)

I saw you troll by when I was on east side near Sewer Pipe - than later when I was in main channel.

Tried to call you on VHF # 68.

I did OK on 14-24 inchers but it was on bottom in deep 55 to 85 feet of water with lures barely moving.

You have to admit - one hell of a fine weather day for end of December.

No; sometimes it's about the drive, the putt, the short game, the sand trap, and the hazards:D Hope you shot a low round yesterday, the ball must have been "sticking" on the green with your approach shot.
Sorry you couldn't join us yesterday, Jeff needed another person to help carry all the tackle:eek:

Skip, thought that might have been you over there. The radio was off, I mostly fish with my kids and the nonsense on the radio gets a little thick sometimes. Really most of the time I don't even remember to turn it on anymore.

Glad to hear you caught some fish. If I get out again this winter I will have the jigging rods aboard.

That water looks cherry!
