Boards with big baits - pattern still intact south of TPL

Every trip in past few weeks I kept thinking the pattern is going to change and things will slow down, but it still hasn't happened! The fish have moved from shallow to deep and back again, but we are still consistently catching around 10-15 keepers per morning trip, with limits of overs and unders, and enough shorts to keep us on our toes in between bigger fish. The low 30's fish are mostly on board rods, but we usually get one per trip on a boat rod, too. We have seen a few in mid to upper 30's in past week, too. And we are still snagging 10 inch baitfish, but also seeing smaller bait flipping on the surface. So the 9-inch baits on the boards and small baits on the boat is just the ticket. Captain John Spoon spreaders and spoonbrellas are still catching loads of fish each trip.
Last Friday I had Brian (bluefish1928) and 2 of his midshipmen buddies, Jay and Austin join me along with Igor, one of my regular crew. Wow, they were a quick learn and awesome crew to keep the lines in the water as we had over 50 bites and had our over/under limit by 9:30am.
3 more trips in the past week with my kids and with friends were really great, too, with fewer shorts and more overs, but still almost non-stop action.
Looked for spot a few times in past week to no avail, but caught plenty of small perch. Will keep pulling those boards until the spot arrive!
