Jellies and "unders" south of Solomons
Hey all,
Posted the same on TF. Fished a charter today out of Solomons, and went south. Did well, but I don't give away the pro's specifics on the where to and how to. But - some info from today: 1. We were getting jellies on the lures. We didn't last week. 2. We trolled up about 4 or 5 16-24 inch fish - which could mean the smaller fish are already moving in. Cheers, Bob |
Is this considered early for jellyfish?

These are winter jellies not to be confused with the sea nettles that come later in the summer.............Gary

Sorry guys - jellies were brown, so I guess that means winter jellies. My ignorance for not stating that.

Not sure if it is true - heard the fresh water run off is why the " snot " has not been bad this spring.
What ever the reason - nice when lures stay clean for 5-6 hours. I have had a little bit of snot on my two deeper lines that run approx. 25 to 30 feet deep. Everything else - knock on wood - has been clean. Been below Breezy all spring due to dirty water off Annapolis. |
