Better late then never

Made a trip with Capt. John on the Patent Pending for a few hours on Saturday. Driving through Deale I had noticed the creeks blown out from frontal passage on Friday that got me thinking that it’s going to be interesting getting on Johns boat! Once at marina my fears came true when I couldn’t even see the boat, but after a few tricky manouvers I made it on. Stopped over at south marina for fuel and when leaving the harbor we found a sailboat in inlet channel that draws 7’ of water sitting in 5’ of water offered help but they decided to wait on the tide. John had a lead from commercial perch guy that he was catching some stripers in shallow water 15-25 so we set a spread and wasn’t long we were hooked up but she came unbuttoned before my gimpy leg could get me to the rod. Had to be a decent fish looking at the head shake and the amount of drag it was taking! Oh well that’s fishing and we continued on for another couple hours working both shallow and deeper waters with no takers. It was good to be back out on the water regardless. On a positive note I did have a friend get into nice fish on Sunday between the bridges and the ships. Until next time!

Glad you got out:D Don't ever worry about getting on and off the boats. With a few guys, we can always hustle you up on the pier:eek:
Once again; hope to get mine back this week:mad:

The weather has been playing havoc with Ed Millers ability to get work done:mad::mad:
