a question about reels for you guys...
 

i orderd a new abu-garcia cardinal 20 1 month ago from cabelas.
it was a combo deal, but reel alone would cost
50 bucks, according to catalogue.
i have used it 4, maybe 5 times since i received it, washed it by hose after each use. once in the ocean.and have shot silicone on it several times.
this morning , went to turn knob on handle to reel it in, and knob(rubber) won't turn. had to "break" it loose with my hand. looked at it, and the spindle that knob is around had all kinda rust , coming, evidently from the inside of spindle. very p'od when i saw this. wanted to try an abu for first time , to see if they were as good as their casting reels. wrong!! would you guys send it back, or how would you handle this?never sent any feeshing tackle back anywhere, but this one has really got me p'od!

please don't say that it is a cheapo reel, and that's what you get, because i've got many shamus and quantum spinners that have NEVER rusted, anywhere.

Send it back....no reel fresh or salt water usage should rust like that.

I'd send it back too. No way that should be happening, especially if you wash it and shoot with silicone.
