Excited - found the ignore list

I've found the ignore list a great way to limit my aggravation and increase my enjoyment of forums. Basically I can cut out the people that have no purpose other than to cause problem. I use this on TF as well, but there you can add people by clicking their name in a post, so it's really easy. After being lazy for a while, I found it here as well. In case you are wondering, here is how to do it:

1. Click "UserCP" in the top blue bar.
2. On the left navigation bar, click "Edit Ignore List"
3. Add that person's screen name that constantly says stupid crap in the box...make sure to be exactly right - and click OK

Finally, don't cheat and look at their posts when they are blocked. I've found I enjoy forums much more when I use this.

Cheers,

Bob

Did Hans make the cut?

Bob, I was wondering why I haven't heard from you in a while!:D............Gary

The 'ignore list' feature is by far the greatest feature on these forums. Keeps my blood pressure down and keeps me from getting pulled into worthless, no-win 'discussions'. I agree with you Bob, there are a number of individuals that revel in pissing most people off and aggravating the rest. Hope Gary didn't just say something to offend someone:D...Don

Don, I was just getting ready to remove you from the list and now look what you have done:rolleyes::D.............Gary

The ignore list reminds me of the kindergarten kid who puts his hands over his ears because he doesn't agree with what is being said and by not hearing, will make it go away.

Rich - Han's hasn't quite made it yet. Besides, I see him every day so it wouldn't matter anyway.

Gary - I've been hiding out, working way too much. Trying to make time to fish.

Reds - see, it works great!

drichitt 05-05-2011 09:30 AM

Reds - I hear ya but not quite the same. Many of the people on these forums have more than one screen name and really enjoy stirring things up. Many also hide behind their screen name and say things they would never say face to face with someone. My name is Don Richitt what is yours?

Wondering if I'm on anyone's " Ignore List " :eek::eek::eek:

Personally I don't use the feature. If I don;t like your opinion, I won't read it.. Simple enough.

But for the most part,I read them all, Absorb what information is relative to me, and disregard the rest.

If you put a couple people on the ignore list on this site, there would be no new info to read at all:eek::D
