SWS Seminar: VA Beach

Did anyone else attend the Saltwater Sportfishing seminar in VA Beach on Saturday. George Poveromo was the MC/Host. The show was well attended, probably because it was 25 degrees. I would have been fishing from the beach at Oregon Inlet, but it was too damn cold, windy and snowing.

Anyway – The format was good. Topics were 45-60 minutes and covered by a moderator and three local experts. Topics included tuna trolling, offshore deep drop, inshore drum, flounder, cobia, rockfish, swordfish. Basically everything under the sun was covered. Jorj Head was one of the local experts.

All in all it was pretty good. I posted a running dialogue of comments and tips directly from the show to the twitter feed and facebook page. Lots of good door-prizes, though I didn’t win any. I also expected more of a Q&A with the audience, but there was no opportunity for questions all day.
