I need a good spot to fish for Crappie from the shoreline

Ponds, lakes, resevoirs, whatever.....I want to take my boy out fishing this weekend before he goes back to school. My boat is still DOA so I'm relegated to fishing from the banks.

Anywhere from central MD down through the eastern shore is an easy drive for me. Tuckahoe was frozen over pretty good last week, but I think it should thaw sufficiently over the next 2 days so I'd assume most ponds and lakes will thaw.

I had pretty much given up fishing for the next 3 months but Garlien keeps bringing it up and so does my son. So it looks like I'll be going out all winter.

Damn right you will !

And come on guys...Help two poor guys out....Spot's son and I get a couple of trips in.....

I have a couple places on the shore I wouldn't mind sharing with you. All are fishable from the banks (I have no freshwater boat). Whenever the temp is in the upper forties, with little to no wind, give me a shout and we can spend the day pond hopping on the shore.
Send me a PM with your phone numbers (Spot and Mike) so I can add them to my list of fishing buds.

Sweet. PM inbound.

Mike and I are looking at some cheap old jon boats for just this kind of thing....nice inexpensive lazy days fishing ponds.

I should have my Cajun back in a few weeks. 3 can fish reasonably comfortably from it

I have a sit-in kayak I can use on some of the ponds, but only fished fresh water once from it.

This sounds great !

Get the ice the hell out of here...

So far all I have to do the next 4 to 8 weeks is:

1: Timonium Boat Show

2: Pasadena Sports Fishing Show

3: Essex Sports Fishing Show

4: Tri-State Show

5: Pickup the HDS 8 and Structure Scan that Marty and Shawn sold me on

6: Keep looking for a cheap jon boat

7: Plan part of my see the bay 2011 tour

8: Repurchase all of these damned licenses we have to have

9: Pray like hell for warm weather and get some freshwater fishing in

That is just not enough fishing....Maybe we could get everyone in the state to rub thier hands together, all at the same time, and the heat would un freeze some of these great ponds...No Scott I did not say run those together.... :)
