In need of knife sharpening service in Calvert / AA county
I would like to get my knives "professionally" sharpened. The guy that I used to have do them that brought his trailer to the Tri-State flea market every year died.
Does anyone know of anyone in the Calvert / Southern Anne Arundle area that does knives? I am looking for a person that I can pay to tune up about half a dozen Dexters - I have neither the know-how, time or ambition to do them myself. Thanks, Tawn |
Please turn in your man card at nearest liquor store :D
Let me find the model # of a stone I bought from Lowes. Think it was about $25.00. It puts nice edge on knives and is very easy to use. Even easier are the $7.00 V shape sharpeners but these take away metal fast. Dexters are easy knives to sharpen - once you get hang of it , and can tell us difference between honing and sharpening - we will return your man card. :p:p |
I have one of the handheld sharpeners that I use throughout the season but every winter I try and have them tuned up by someone that knows that they are doing.
I also posted this on Facebook and one of the Deale captains offered to take care of them. Problem solved for a 12 pack. :cool: |
Tawn;
There was a guy who sharpens knives at the Park n Ride on Ritchie Highway (Jones Station Rd). He is part of a small "Farmers Market" that sets up there to sell their wares. I will let you know if he returns this year:D 5th |
