Weds Report Down South

Got a chance to get out to some deeper water...Pulled in 50 Mahi and I was able to reel this nice yellow fin...Made for one hell of a dinner...

Followed whales until we got the hit on the Tuna...On the down side we had a huge marlin surface right near our baits and he decided to pass....:(

Followed that up by a first time kayak trip on the soundside of Hatteras...Was a blast, never done the kayak fishing thing before...Was able to pull in croaker, spot, pinfish :(, a nice seatrout, and grunts....Not too bad for a few hours...

I love fishing in Carolina....So much more to target, but I can't wait to get back and start the search for fish in our home waters...

Hope all of you are catching something....

Sounds like you had a blast!! Always fun blue water fishing!

At a CCA meeting, Lenny Rudow was the speaker and he said that fish can actually here the fisherpeople screaming in the back of the boat "FISH ON" "THERE HE IS". WHITEY'S HOME", etc. It is VERY TOUGHT not to get excited when a fish is in the baits but often if they surface and don't bite, it's probably because you scared them off with too much noise. He had the test stats to back it up too. Just passing along what he said in case anyone can benefit from it.

So "Shhhh, fish on"
