Fishing Report Saturday 7/17

We started off at Hacketts for some spot and filled the livewell with undersized spot... but at least we had spot! I ran down to Eastern Bay and fished dead between Bloody Point and Poplar Island. We were catching a few drifting then we seen some breaking fish with birds on them. They were moving fast and we set up on them three times before they got away.:D

All on all we had a good trip. 23 rockfish between 18" - 25" (on circle hooks) and one Bluefish. I wonder how good it would have been if I could have caught some decent sized spot? Oh well.
