Winner winner chicken dinner

I have a smile from ear to ear tonight. My wife, as you know, had a heart attack and bypass surgery in June:mad: Today was her first day on the boat this season.
I keep it in Deale for trophy season, and didn't put it in my "home" slip until after June. She has recovered enough to work 2 days a week, and today, we took a boat ride:)
We left Bodkin Creek with light winds and ran across the bay, through Kent Narrows. We explored the marsh on the right behind the Kent Narrows Yacht Club, as well as the condo's/townhouses on the left at Oyster Cove.

It was a great day to explore.

On the ride home, the winds had shifted and it was a little bumpy from the south. I was keeping a close eye for debris, but a quick glance to my port saw her holding her chest. I backed down the speed, and we leisurely crossed the bay back to the western shore.

Once on our side, we went to Stoney Creek Inn for a wonderful dinner. We have been home for a while now, but I had to put this in a post. I hit the jackpot when I married her:D

This will probably be her only trip on the boat this year (with weather becoming cooler). However, it is one I will not soon forget.

The water temperature was 69* on the FF. Time for the bait to start leaving the rivers with temps cooing. Fish should be schooling. It's about to get good:D

Good to see you two out there yesterday. I still think she deserves a pink fishing rod

YAY MEL!!!!! Great to hear she’s getting back to normal.

Bill Judge is still building 36’ boats which would help with the cold and the bouncing issues. I guess since you really love you wife, the proper thing to do is order up a new boat???:p

Good to hear Mel got out. I know first hand what the first boat ride after surgery can be like. Mine was in a 17’ hell’s bay flats boat inthe keys on a very bumpy day. Couldn’t move for two days afterward. Hope she’s feeling well today!
