Rain??

Think the enormous amount of rain that fell last night, will hurt trophy season? Just hope things improve by next weekend.

North of the BB was stained with debris already. The rain last night and this morning will only make it worse. Question is how far south will you have to travel to find clean water? Think I recall hearing fresh water helps the spawn. Maybe someone will chime in..

On Monday, the water wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting to find it the lovely shade of Hallie Berry but was surprised to was not. Above the Brewerton Channel is was and with Monday night's storms, I'm sure it didn't help any.
I would only assume that fresh water would help as I would think the flats and way up rivers is pretty fresh but again I am merely ASS-U-MEing.

According to the satellite pictures, the upper bay looks a tad muddy, and so, if this bloody wind ever lays down, I'll be inclined to go right out front off of TPL, or even head south to the 'Tank

Good luck and safe fishing to all!

Bodkin creek looks more like the Potomac does after heavy rains. Guess it will be another long boat ride south again this weekend!

IMHO - it is easier to catch Rock in clear water - they can see lures farther away.

Dirty water means they will feed mostly by feel - as lures are hard to see just a foot or two away. This means less margin of error in placing lures in water column.

Rain is said to help the eggs - hopefully we see a great young of year index.
