We didn't risk it. Go to Solomons unless you know for sure

Thanks. Josh and I are planning to fish. Hate to run all the way to Solomons, but o well.

If anyone have a phone number for CB or has any idea, id appreciate it.

Back in late December - Breezy Point said the ramp would be closed until March 1st.

Not sure if the bad weather will delay it on not.

The ramp at Chesapeake Beach should be open - trouble is the low bridge.
Clearance is about 9 feet on a normal high tide but in winter sometimes the high tide can be 1 foot more then normal.

One option - check out Chesapeake Beach - if closed - you can follow the road past Breezy Point until it comes back into Rt. 4.

Not a huge detour.

R&R west is reporting snow/ice in ramp and creek frozen around ramp area.

I talked to the CB marina. The ramp is "open". He said there really isn’t much snow on the ramp, but that i should have a shovel just in case (how comforting). The bridge has between 10-11 feet of clearance. He said the creek wasn’t frozen at all, but there is about 15 feet of ice going from the ramp towards the creek in the section where you launch the boat. I asked how thick and he said he guessed it was 2-4 inches. Told me i should bring a sledge hammer or something to bust it up and then it would be fine.

His words were, "if you really want to fish, then you can make it. Just might take some work".

..... Just passing on what he told me
