Anybody been to the "New" Dick's in Glen Burnie?

I stopped in yesterday for a look around. The fishing department seems about twice as big as it was in the old location. Very well organized (for now at least ) and the prices seemed like they've been rolled back on a lot of things. I always thought they were high on most stuff before, but I was surprised at a lot of the prices I saw there.

I wonder if they're trying to make a dedicated effort to compete with Bass Pro and Walmart since both are so close.

Anybody on the forum work there?

YES!

I think I'm buying one tomorrow.

They have a Trophy 144 fishing kayak regulary $599 down to $249.

I've always found them to be the most affordable with their pricing on entry level kayaks.

I was just in today, very nice store.

OK, so I had to see for myself what the new store looks like. I like it. Big and wide open so things don't look like they are piled on top of each other. I checked out the kayak's and they do have a nice sale on the "sit-in" yaks. Last year I bought two from them. One was a sit-in fishing "trophy" 12 ft long. The other was a "spirit" sit on top yak the same length.
While I like them both, my wife uses the sit on top and I use the fishing sit-in yak. Hers is less weight and we like to throw our legs over the side and cool off while paddling. The fishing one is nice in cooler weather (early spring and fall), but we yak more in the summer.
The fishing yak is on sale for a nice price, but none of the sit on tops are available. They said this spring, they will have another sale that includes the sit on tops.

They did have some insulated snow pants on sale for 30 bucks that would be great for spring fishing.

Check the new store out:)
