Learn about spoon umbrella rigs - Monday 21st - FREE
Spoons catch fish - no doubt about it. Rigged on spreader bars or umbrella rigs - they are deadly.
On Monday Sept. 21st at 7:30 pm - the Broadneck / Magothy river chapter of MSSA will present a FREE seminar about spoon spreader / umbrellas. Meeting is open to public - and FREE. Captain John will explain how and when to use these great rigs and also have the spoons and spreader bars for sale. Attend the meeting , take notes , buy a few rigs and next weekend - you should be catching fish. These rigs catch Rock , Blues and Spanish Macs regularly. Few Red Drum ( up to 40 inches ) and Flounder have also been caught on them. Doors open at 7:00 pm - location is : American Legion hall # 175 at 832 Manhattan Beach Road, Severna Park, MD 21146 - off Jones Station at Ritchie Hgwy. Use entrance on left hand side of building - under the overhang. Plenty of parking - just observe the reserved spots. |

Great talk given by Capt. John. It was good putting some faces with names finally. Hope Skip is feeling better, and sorry for taking over the floor to endorse Johns spoonbrellas! I have yet to have success with them on my own but Marty and Capt. John made me a firm believer on the trip they invited me on. It's gotta be the color coded in line weights that made the difference.
