Upper Bay, West Side, Shallow Water...

Weds from about 6:30 to 9:00 PM....

Depth about 6 to 10 feet...Anchored, floated an old bucket of chum....Scott and I casted small spoons and beetlespins while bringing in at least 50+ perch, many large, one of which was citation size !

Later in the evening I dropped a top/bottom with old shrimp from the frezzer...Short while later the rod bent to the boat, figured it was a ray...However, it fought like hell...Would not have beleived it but Scott caught one earlier, on a beetlespin of all things...Channel cat...With the salinity this high...very, very weird...Ended up with 7 cats 2 to 3 foot in length...

Also caught a few stripers for a triple speices day !

Still waitin for those blues and hard heads in the upper bay though...Saw a few small craokers caught back in the rivers and creeks, but nothing large yet....
