Bait Tank Pictures for Greg

Here ya go Greg.

30 Gallon blue barrel from http://www.bayteccontainers.com/

Input plumbed via a quick disconnect to a Y-valve off the washdown pump. Overflow goes over the side via a larger hose plumbed near the top of the tank.

All the fittings and hoses came from West Marine.

Tank sits on a cooler mat from Melton Tackle and a ratchet strap goes around the tank and roof support to hold it in place.

You can still open the drawers on the dinette and the tank isn't in the way at all.

Last week while Hook & Lining I had over 300 spot in there for over 6 hours without an issue.

I cannot possibly imagine a better set up on a 27 Judge.

Tawn - I offer this advice as friend.

You might want to tape the hose clamp " tail " down tightly with electrical tape.

Not sure how I did it but years ago sliced my ankle on a similar clamp. It was a really nasty cut - border line to stitch - but worry nowadays is infection.

No need to tell you that part. Hate to hear you got cut from clamp and not have said anything.

Good idea skip. When the tank is on the boat, the fittings and hose clamps are on the backside and pretty much out of reach but I do put the tank on the dock when washing the boat or when I'm not using it and someone could brush past it and slice themselves.

Thanks,
Tawn

I hope you don't keep that on the boat, I could really use a setup like that:eek:

Looks good Tawn.

Thanks Tawn! I have the same set up now just that my tank doesnt drain overboard. I run a hose down the side of the deck and out the scupper. I need to get a taller tank like you. Thanks!

BTW, how do you keep your boat so clean. Mine is a MESS!!!!!
