Bring more threads to CB Angler - My part 6/13 and 6/14

All,

So here was my weekend...After battling rain, rays, speed boats, you name it...I had some good action.....

Here is how it worked....

Close to 75 Perch, some up to 12 and 13 inches...One inch short of a citation....:( For the most part are were fat....Keep seeing the yellow tint on the eastern side of the bay and the silver tint on the western side of the bay...Most of them came bottom fishing with sea clams...Some off of the table shrimp I had (hoping to get some hardheads...Anyone seen any)...Did get some to bite on Gulp Bloodworms too...Hoping to catch some spot if I could find them...(anybody lucky enough yet ?)

Got close to a dozen Channel Cats from 2 to 5 pounds on the eastern side of the bay...Again bottom fishing with clams and Gulp bloodworms....

Couple of sunfish in the Bodkin as well....

Grass shrimp sometimes worked for the perch as well....

Tried jigging and chumming for stripers near love point, as well as, 6', 7', and 9' knolls....Drifted through Belvedere a while....Not a striper to save my soul....Just a terrbile 2010 for me so far, after a great 09....

The areas of Love Point, the opening of the Magothy, and the mouth of the Bodkin have been most productive for me over the last week or so.....

Hope others are doing better than me....

Thanks for the report. there seems to be a tough bit of late with the rockfish. One can speculate about May worms or whatever, but who knows? We need to stick with it, and it will turn around eventually. Fishing with pullage is better than a skunk, and fishing with a skunk is better than working. .

So true...

I am eagerly awaiting the hardheads to get here....They are a ton of fun to catch....Have not seen any north of the bridge yet....

Still have not seen spot yet either.....

Guess until we start seeing some decent striper hauls I will be trying to catch big channel cats on ultra light gear....

:)

We're you chumming the shrimp? This technique was awesome for stripers prior to the moratorium.
