Buckhammer fishing/Mackenna Jane report
 

I was told about this site by Jim at BOE and he asked me to post some reports here. I am not much of a computer geek but here goes...

We fished just west of the Hot Dog on some lumps. Caught a gaffer dolphin after about 30 minutes of trolling. Boated that fish and a few minutes later we have a white marlin destroying the long rigger. Lee fed the fish and it came tight but we lost the fish passing the rod to the charter. Trolled for a few hours with another gaffer bite and 2 missed "mystery" bites. The bridge rod goes off with a big bluefin but unfortunately pulled the hook after about 10 minutes.

Caught another gaffer dolphin or two around lunch time and once again it got quiet when the planer rod trips and 5 minutes later we have a 55 lb wahoo on ice. Spin back around on that hump and hook a bluefin fought it to the boat and I made the call that it was over 59 inches so we broke it off boatside to a disappointed charter...dumb rule!!! Started trolling back north and have 2 whites come on the long and short riggers and catch one of the two. We finished the day about 10 minutes later with another gaffer dolphin.

Ended the day 1-3 on whites, a 55 lb wahoo, 5 15-20 lb dolphin and a bluefin release. A great group of guys today. Lots of fun.

Thanks...The report was great....Wish the fishing was better where I am so I could post more....Looks like it is starting to heat up though...

Nice report! We are going out on Thursday and hope to have similar results. Were you trolling all ballys?

Glad to see you here Jerry. I didnt know you didnt know about the site or I would have told you during the Luke Scott trip..

Jerry has a big fast boat out of OCMD.. Look him up if you are wanting to get offshore. I hope to get on board if he needs to fill a spot later this summer :) www.buckhammerfishing.com

Thanks for the welcome. I realized after rereading the post I did not say this report was for Monday 7-12. I fish again this friday. We generally fish 2-3 times per week.
