Default Interesting seminar - thermocline / salinity break as structure - FREE

On Monday evening - March 17th , Capt. Brian Mayer of " Marauder charters " will speak at the Broadneck /Magothy River MSSA meeting.

Capt. Mayer will explain how to fish the thermocline and the salinity break in the bay. Fish - especially large Rockfish - use both as structure.

Capt. Mayer will explain how to use your depth finder to identify the thermocline. He'll also discuss strategies to fish it - including tackle and lure choices.

This meeting is FREE and open to general public . Doors open at 7:00 pm - meeting starts at 7:30 and we try to wrap up around 9:00.

Although hard to believe with this cold weather - opening day is just over a month away. Likely the thermocline will be more pronounced this spring - smart anglers will pay attention to it. The thermocline is also important in summer and fall - really all year.

Location of meeting is American Legion Post #175 - 832 Manhattan Beach Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Plenty of free parking - just observe the handicap / reserved spots near doors.

Entrance for meeting is on far left of building - under the awning. The Legion has great prices on beer , soda and mixed drinks.

50/50 raffle and prize table are available.
